Air emissions

The continuous development of the MARPOL Annexes and the focus on reducing fuel consumption and emissions from combustion have prompted several studies on the overall strategies and the technological options for reductions. With the introduction of ECAs for SOx and NOx and the upcoming global reduction of sulfur in fuel, the EEDI and SEEMP and most recently the renewed interest for Market Based Measures and emissions trading in shipping, we expect a further development in this area.
